“Every Christian must stand on guard continually, watching every avenue of the soul where Satan might find access. He must pray for divine help and at the same time resolutely resist every inclination to sin. By courage, by faith, by persevering toil, he can conquer. But let him remember that to gain the victory Christ must abide in him and he in Christ.”
Testimonies for the Church, Vol.5 p.47
“At last his effort is rewarded; the lost is found. Then he does not scold it because it has caused him so much trouble. He does not drive it with a whip. He does not even try to lead it home. In his joy he takes the trembling creature upon his shoulders; if it is bruised and wounded, he gathers it in his arms, pressing it close to his bosom, that the warmth of his own heart may give it life. With gratitude that his search has not been in vain, he bears it back to the fold.”
Christ’s Object Lessons p. 188
“The Lord is mighty in patience and tolerant for the soul who desires His will and character in their life.Though like little children we may slip and fall, the Lord is quick to extend His hand, impart His strength, give us His ear, and lend us His shoulder. There is no time when the Lord will refuse one of these “precious ones,” from coming to the throne of grace and mercy.Children of God, do no refuse the Lord and force Him to stand idly by, waiting outside the door of our heart; then we ultimately push Him outside the reach of our thoughts and decisions. And when trouble comes, threatening to overtake us, we may cry out, “Lord, where are you?”The Lord cannot force us to go where He desires, only those who heed His pleading voice, “follow Me,” will be guided back to the place which He has prepared for us, and is even now waiting to receive those who have been about their “Father’s” business.
Today, will you decide to follow Jesus?.”
~Michael Musante
“Making the choice to follow Christ, does not guarantee a trouble-free life. In fact, quite the opposite is true. Upon the decision to follow Jesus, a war is publicly declared between the world and the child of God. An enmity, a tension, can be tangibly felt. The enemy takes notice that one of his captives has been freed of their chains and has taken steps out of their prison. As the child of God senses true liberation and freedom in Christ, then the conflict between the will of this world and the will of God will come into focus. Storms in our life will come out of nowhere threatening our home, our family, our children, and even ourselves. But we are not going through such a trial on our own. Even if today is in the midst of your storm, God loves you enough that He sent His Son to you.” – Pastor Michael Musante
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the Lord your God,” – Isaiah 43:2
The world has no shortage of difficulties, depression, mistakes, cruelty and unfairness. Our lives may be riddled with the byproduct of this world, and we may have even adopted it into our lives and brought it into our homes. Whether these mistakes, short-comings, addictions, or personality flaws remain securely behind closed doors; or whether we live with them present to the world around us -God knows each one. Whether we are abused, misunderstood, confused, lonely or ashamed; there is a God out there who is present in the time of our need, and will not refuse us. He knows our broken state, He knows our flawed character, He knows you even more than you can know yourself, and with His hand held out toward you in your current state, He is saying,“Follow Me.” – Pastor Michael Musante
Isaiah 41:10: “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand”
“Martha needed less anxiety for the things which pass away, and more for those things which endure forever. The cause of Christ needs Marthas, with their zeal in active religious work, but let them first sit with Mary at the feet of Jesus. Let diligence and energy be sanctified by the grace of Christ.”
From Heaven With Love p. 350
“Our confession of His faithfulness is Heaven’s chosen agency for revealing Christ to the world. We are to acknowledge His grace as made known through the holy men of old; but that which will be most effectual is the testimony of our own experience. We are witnesses for God as we reveal in ourselves the working of a power that is divine. Every individual has a life distinct from all others, and an experience differing essentially from theirs. God desires that our praise shall ascend to Him, marked by our own individuality. These precious acknowledgments to the praise of the glory of His grace, when supported by a Christ-like life, have an irresistible power that works for the salvation of souls.”
Desire of Ages p. 347
“Oh, where, as a people, are our commemorative stones? Where are set up our monumental pillars carved with letters expressing the precious story of what God has done for us in our experience? Can we not, in view of the past, look on new trials and increased perplexities—even afflictions… and not be dismayed, but look upon the past and say, “‘Hitherto hath the Lord helped us.’ I will commit the keeping of my soul unto Him as unto a faithful Creator.”
Selected Messages Vol. 3 p. 320
“In reviewing our past history, having traveled over every step of advance to our present standing, I can say, Praise God! As I see what the Lord has wrought, I am filled with astonishment, and with confidence in Christ as leader. We have nothing to fear for the future, except as we shall forget the way the Lord has led us, and His teaching in our past history.”
