Acts of the Apostles p.110

“Not upon the ordained minister only rests the responsibility of going forth to fulfill this commission. Everyone who has received Christ is called to work for the salvation of his fellow men. “The Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come.” Revelation 22:17. The charge to give this invitation includes the entire church. Everyone who has heard the invitation is to echo the message from hill and valley, saying, “Come.””

Pr. Michael Musante

“Darkness veiled the earth in the days of its infancy. There was an abyss, a void, and a lack of life, for it had not yet been spoken into existence by the Author of life. Hence, the first spoken words to the face of the earth were, “Let there be light”; and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. (Genesis 1:3, 4) The light was the foundation of all life which God would introduce thereafter. And then the earth teamed with excitement and life.

A second time, the face of God looked over the earth. Again, He saw an abyss, a void, and a lack of life over all the earth. But this time it was a lack of spiritual life. He then put forward the plans of goodness, mercy, and grace that were prepared from the foundation of the world. And the Light shined in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it (John 1:5). Once again, the purpose of the Light was to bring life into the world that was cast into utter darkness with the hope the earth would team with excitement and life.”

Great Controversy p.608

“As the storm approaches, a large class who have professed faith in the third angel’s message, but have not been sanctified through obedience to the truth, abandon their position and join the ranks of the opposition… They become the most bitter enemies of their former brethren. When Sabbathkeepers are brought before the courts to answer for their faith, these apostates are the most efficient agents of Satan to misrepresent and accuse them, and by false reports and insinuations to stir up the rulers against them.”

Prophets and Kings p.277

“God allows men a period of probation; but there is a point beyond which divine patience is exhausted, and the judgments of God are sure to follow. The Lord bears long with men, and with cities, mercifully giving warnings to save them from divine wrath; but a time will come when pleadings for mercy will no longer be heard, and the rebellious element that continues to reject the light of truth will be blotted out, in mercy to themselves and to those who would otherwise be influenced by their example.”

Steps to Christ p.64, 65

“The closer you come to Jesus, the more faulty you will appear in your own eyes; for your vision will be clearer, and your imperfections will be seen in broad  and distinct contrast to His perfect nature… No deep-seated love for Jesus can dwell in the heart that does not realize its own sinfulness. The soul that is transformed by the grace of Christ will admire His divine character; but if we do not see our own moral deformity, it is unmistakable evidence that we have not  had a view of the beauty and excellence of Christ.”

Signs of the Times, October 21, 1897

“God looks down from heaven with pleasure on the trusting, believing ones who have a full sense of their dependence on Him. To such He delights to give when they ask Him. “He satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.”

Christ’s Object Lessons p.204

“In his restless youth the prodigal looked upon his father as stern and severe. How different his conception of him now! So those who are deceived by Satan look upon God as hard and exacting. They regard Him as watching to denounce and condemn, as unwilling to receive the sinner so long as there is a legal excuse for not helping him… But he whose eyes have been opened by the love of Christ will behold God as full of compassion. He does not appear as a tyrannical, relentless being, but as a father longing to embrace his repenting son.”

Patriarchs and Prophets p.556

“Those who stand in the highest positions may lead astray. The wisest err; the strongest may falter and stumble. There is need that light from above should be constantly shed upon our pathway. Our only safety lies in trusting our way implicitly to Him who has said, “Follow Me.”
