“Darkness veiled the earth in the days of its infancy. There was an abyss, a void, and a lack of life, for it had not yet been spoken into existence by the Author of life. Hence, the first spoken words to the face of the earth were, “Let there be light”; and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. (Genesis 1:3, 4) The light was the foundation of all life which God would introduce thereafter. And then the earth teamed with excitement and life.

A second time, the face of God looked over the earth. Again, He saw an abyss, a void, and a lack of life over all the earth. But this time it was a lack of spiritual life. He then put forward the plans of goodness, mercy, and grace that were prepared from the foundation of the world. And the Light shined in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it (John 1:5). Once again, the purpose of the Light was to bring life into the world that was cast into utter darkness with the hope the earth would team with excitement and life.”
